"What A Long Strange Journey It Has Been"

Welcome to Iron Mountain Glass's News page.

We've been working hard doing landscaping to the yard. Joe's been cutting some trees and burning brush piles. Me I'm hauling limbs and moving rocks. It's seems that the only thing we can grow is rocks. I'll try and post some pictures up soon, you will be surprised for sure what all has been accomplished.

Wow it's been along time since I've had time to upgrade the website. I'm sorry, but it seems like life has jump up and said "I'm here and it's time for you to pay attention to me." I'm sure all of you at one time or another has had it knocking on your door.  

I haven't been making a lot of glass or jewelry lately or doing any of the shows with Joe, poor fellow he has been making and doing most of them himself this year. I've been working a lot of 12 hour nights at my regular job for a while now, trying to work as many as I can while the option is still open. There's been a lot of plants closing and laying people off, so far I've been one of the lucky ones. (Fingers Crossed it stays that way).

My father had a stroke in July and I've been doing a lot of running with him, you know doctors, tests and such, he seems to be doing better with his memory, we were lucky it only weakened his right side not paralyzed it completely so he's still able to get around on his own but he's unable to drive himself. It helps that I work 3rd shift because I can take him for his appointments in the mornings after work, it just means I don't get enough sleep but we all do what we can when someone you love Needs you.
